Medical professionals must constantly update and evolve their way of thinking.
They should develop newer ideas in order to ensure a better quality of service.
Keeping this in mind, NEUROSTORM: THE MEDSICON HACKATHON, an Innovation
Challenge, invites medical students from across the nation to present
innovative ideas that they believe would change the face of the healthcare
system of the nation.
This competition would be conducted in two Rounds – Round I and Round II
Round I
Round I will be conducted in VIRTUAL MODE.
- A problem statement would be released on 9 July 2023.
- The teams consisting of 3-4 members would be required to upload their
ideas and proposals in the form of a presentation, a video, or an animation
by 20 July 2023.
Round II
- After assessing all the proposals received from the participants from
Round I, our panel consisting of eminent clinicians will shortlist
participants for Round II. This next round would be conducted in Offline
Mode in front of a Jury consisting of eminent researchers and clinicians
from AIIMS, ICMR, NMC etc., where the idea/solution would be analysed and
quizzed upon.
The Round II will assess the participants under the following heads :- Podium
Presentation, Panel Discussion followed by Audience Questions.
A. Podium Presentation
* Display your project’s blueprint in the form of a presentation or a video to
the audience and the panel, while your team gets the stage to showcase
your idea.
* Time limit: 3-10 minutes
* Participation: Open to entire team to speak
B. Panel Discussion
- Then comes the time for critical analysis of your abstract ideas by our
esteemed panelists. This round involves a ‘face to face’ comprehensive
discussion with your team and the panel; while the audience witnesses and
learns from your exchange. - Time limit: Panelists’ discretion, however discussion beyond reasonable
time will be discouraged. - Participation: Open to entire team
C. Audience Questions - The final leg of the contest, opens the door for the audience to critique and
understand your project. Audience will include faculty, fellow delegates,
and not to mention, your competitors- other teams. - Time limit: 5 minutes
- Participation: 3 participants of a team will be allowed.
