MEDSICON 2024, under the aegis of VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital is pleased to invite all medical students to the Clinical Case Presentation Competition.
Send us cases observed and studied by you in the premises of your own institution during ward rounds and clinical postings which demonstrate rare conditions, unique patients and ingenious treatments or are emotionally stirring. The competition is open to all undergraduates and interns.
Guidelines for online case report submission –
All participants are required to submit their case reports to help our panel of distinguished clinicians shortlist the participants.
- Word limit- 800 words with no references
- The text should include a descriptive patient history, and can be supported by pictures
- Format: .pdf extension
- The PDF file to be submitted must be named “Name of Participant – Clinical Case – Short title”. Example: XYZ – Clinical Case – Crigler Najjar Syndrome
After assessment of all the case reports, our panel consisting of eminent clinicians will select participants who will be allowed to present their clinical case in front of the jury.
Deadline for case report submission is August 14; 1700 hours IST. Case reports should be submitted in PDF format to medsiconacademics@gmail.com
Rules for the final presentation –
- Format : The participants will use .ppt/.pdf files to present their case.
- Content : The case description should be sequenced in individual headings like history, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment and course, followed by discussion.
- Time limit: 5 minutes
Please note, it is an individual event and only the presenter will be accredited for his/her effort.
- Plagiarism will be strongly frowned upon. Any case of plagiarism will invite immediate suspension.
- Decisions of the Jury and Organizing Committee are final.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the above guidelines.
